Situated in the magnificent North East stretch coastline of Sardinia Island, Budoni and San Teodoro are two lovely and friendly locations which are surrounded by unpolluted and gorgeous nature. Furthermore, they are situated only 30 km away (20 minutes by car) from Olbia’s airport and harbor.
Budoni and San Teodoro are phenomenal locations for tourism. Besides the amazing 60 km stretch of white coastline among small bays and unique rocks reflected in one of the most beautiful and transparent sea in the world, you will find quiet and long beaches made of white and fine sand.
In the recent past, the importance of both the sea and the coast has increased. This is due in part to the relatively recent discovery of tourism. We offer different solutions for every budget: from the extra luxury Hotel, moderate houses rentals and camps, up to the easiest and cheaper solutions such as bed and breakfast or farm holidays.
The constant and special attention paid to the needs of tourists have made these towns among the most sought after vacation spots, constantly growing in numbers (from 5,000 inhabitants during Winter to 80,000 during the Summer in Budoni, and from 4,000 during Winter to 100,000 during the Summer in San Teodoro.)
Budoni and San Teodoro have a Mediterranean maquis hinterland full of myrtle, strawberry trees, heather, juniper and lentisk. They offer marvelous landscapes and provoke intense emotions with their colors and perfumes. A thick pinewood marks the boundaries between the green hills and the transparent nuances of the sea; the rocks, eroded by time and wind, create curious and singular shapes. This is an ideal location for boat excursions to the gorgeous islands of Tavolara, Molara and Molarotto in The Natural Park. Furthermore, the sea depths around the Islands and the beaches are special settings for snorkeling and diving.
The diversified territory is also characterized by little brackish ponds, hosting the typical halophytic vegetation, tamarisks and rushes, which provide hospitality and protection to the aquatic fauna, (among which pink flamingos colonies are found).
Finally, Porto Ottiolu, with a capability of more than 500 boats, is the ideal starting point to explore the isolated bays and the enchanting surroundings.
San Teodoro and Budoni are also well known for their historic appeal, offering the chance to visit interesting archaeological sites from the earlier Neolithic, represented by the important Domus de Jana (4000 A.C.) to others which date back to the Nuragic times.
The two locations offer different types of services, sports, night life and amusements for families, kids, and young people.
All these characteristics make Budoni and San Teodoro ideal destinations for tourists to discover the hidden treasures of Sardinia.
